Role of FOS paramedi in organizing primary health care to the population. Criteria of efficiency and quality of FOS paramedic work
The relevance of the article is due to the increasing role of feldsher-obstetric stations (FOS) in ensuring the availability of primary health care (PHC) to the population, especially in rural areas. FOS paramedic is a key link in the healthcare system, providing timely diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. In conditions of limited access to medical care, his activities become the basis for maintaining the health of the population. Objective. To define the role of the FOS paramedic in the healthcare system and to evaluate the efficiency and qualit y of the FOS paramedic’s work. Results. The scope of the paramedic’s professional activity was studied; the rules for organizing the activities of the feldsher-obstetric station were studied; the duties, rights and responsibilities of the FOS paramedic in providing primary health care were identified; the criteria or evaluating the efficiency of the FOS paramedic were analyzed. Conclusion. Optimization of the FOS requires an integrated approach, including improving the material and technical base, reducing the workload of the staff and strengthening interaction with other medical institutions. This will improve the quality of primary health care and strengthen the health of the population in rural areas.
