Thách thức của trí tuệ nhân tạo đối với lao động và tiêu dùng dưới góc nhìn Kinh tế học Phật giáo

The article focuses on analyzing the intersection between Buddhist Economics (BE), Artificial Intelligence (AI), labor, and sustainable consumption. Grounded in the core principles of Buddhism—mindfulness, moderation, and interdependence—BE proposes an alternative approach to conventional economics, emphasizing balance between individual development, social welfare, and environmental protection. The advancement of AI offers potential for innovation and resource optimization, while simultaneously posing challenges to job security, workers’ well-being, overconsumption, and inequalities in access to technology. From the perspective of BE, labor is not merely a factor of production but also a means for fostering individual capacity and community development. Therefore, the application of AI must be closely tied to ethical conduct, transparency, and fairness. Proposed solutions include comprehensive reskilling programs, the promotion of “Green AI,” raising consumer awareness, and fostering workplace environments that support mental well-being. The article asserts that BE can serve as an important guiding framework for harnessing AI in a sustainable, humane, and harmonious manner. Keywords: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Buddhism, Labor and consumption.
