Ấn Độ và Trung Quốc cạnh tranh định hình tương lai kinh tế của châu Phi

This article examines the strategic competition between India and China in shaping the economic development model in Africa, particularly in East Africa. China employs a top-down investment model through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), focusing on large-scale, state-funded infrastructure projects. However, this approach has faced criticism regarding debt burdens, lack of transparency, and limited technology transfer. In contrast, India promotes a a bottom-up model through the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), encouraging private investment, local collaboration, and focusing on long-term value-added sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, and manufacturing. The article argues that the most viable future for Africa is not a rigid choice between these two models, but rather a "hybrid model" that combines the strengths of both, with African nations playing an active role in directing and coordinating their own development strategies. Keywords: India, competition, market-oriented economic model, China.
