UAV-supported inspection of concrete structures.

The built infrastructure worldwide is showing signs of age. Bridges, dams, towers and industrial buildings are inspected in accordance with standards or guidelines. To ensure that these inspections can be carried out efficiently, quickly and independently of human error, more and more digitally supported inspection systems and analyses are being used.It is shown that an intelligent concrete inspection automatically recognises, classifies and maps damage down to cracks as small as 0.2 mm wide.AI image processing and 3D visualisation can provide an excellent overview of the health of the concrete structure and serve as a tool for asset management experts to predict and plan future actions. It is possible to automatically monitor the development of damage and take the right measures in good time.
