Novel Reported Case of Human Subcutaneous Mycosis Caused by <i>Zasmidium citri‐griseum</i> : Diagnosis and Treatment Insights
We report the novel human infection by Zasmidium citri-griseum, the pathogen of Citrus greasy spot, presenting as subcutaneous mycosis with multiple epidermoid cysts in a Chinese woman, successfully treated with oral itraconazole and CO2 laser. Genetic sequencing confirmed the diagnosis, underscoring the importance of such methods in identifying emerging pathogens.
