Invasive physiology and intravascular imaging in patients with three-vessel coronary artery disease
Three-vessel coronary artery disease (CAD) is common in clinical practice and associated with high incidence of complications and mortality. Optimal myocardial revascularization strategy in this group of patients is still a matter of debates despite large scientific data. This review evaluates current approaches for myocardial revascularization in patients with three-vessel CAD based on newly published literature data. We describe invasive physiology (fractional flow reserve, instantaneous wave-free ratio), intravascular ultrasound and combination of these modalities in patients with three-vessel CAD.
