Breaking Photodetector Bandwidth and Nyquist Constraints in FMCW LiDAR with a Cost-Effective Fiber-Based MZI

An MZI-based optical frequency shifting method is proposed to break photodetector bandwidth and Nyquist sampling limits in FMCW LiDAR, achieving high-resolution, fast-scanning 3D imaging with 0.07-mm lateral resolution and 200-kHz scanning rate.
