Achieving Wide Field of View in Free-Space-Optical Communication Systems using Volume Holography

We report on demonstration of a method for increasing the field of view in free-space optical communication systems by writing angularly-and-spatially multiplexed plano-convex volume holographic gratings onto a hollow cylindrical substrate, enabling 360° panoramic operation.
