Densely Multiplexable High-Temperature Sensing Enabled by Sapphire Fiber Scattering Array Interferometer

We present sapphire fiber densely multiplexable scattering array interferometer (DMSAI) for robust high-temperature sensing. Independent full-range measurement between 23°C and 1500°C is demonstrated on six sensors multiplexed on a single sapphire fiber.

Abstract

We present sapphire fiber densely multiplexable scattering array interferometer (DMSAI) for robust high-temperature sensing. Independent full-range measurement between 23°C and 1500°C is demonstrated on six sensors multiplexed on a single sapphire fiber.
