Intracavity-Contact, Quantum-Dot Vertical Microcavities with Resonant Tunneling Injection for Electrically-Driven Deterministic Indistinguishable Single-Photon Sources

We design and fabricate microcavities with resonant tunneling injection into embedded quantum dots for the efficient generation of indistinguishable single photons. The devices feature intracavity contacts that optimize carrier injection and photon extraction.
