Abstract A071: Artificial intelligence in cancer patient care-associated challenges in United States of America

Abstract The worldwide cancer healthcare system is grappling with various challenges; however, the United States system is uniquely affected by long patient waiting periods, a shortage of healthcare workers, and the mental health struggles of the patient. This study explores the potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare to address the associated healthcare challenges in the US, while evaluating ethical considerations and the global status of AI in healthcare. Implementation of AI-integrated chatbot, natural language processing, and its innovative solutions addresses these issues by enhancing operational efficiency by almost 20%. Improves patient care and alleviates the burden on healthcare professionals while reducing the cost by (1/5). While ethical and practical challenges remain, the responsible integration of AI into cancer patient care led to better outcomes and a more sustainable healthcare system.
