Micromachining Conductive and Capacitive Electronic Elements in Synthetic Diamond with Ultrafast Lasers
We discuss the fabrication of embedded, areal graphitic features in high-purity, synthetic single-crystal diamond through ultrafast laser micromachining. Arbitrary conductive and capacitive elements could be formed in a strong dielectric, potentially enabling high-density energy storage.
