Enhanced Temperature Sensitivity of FBGs Operating near Exceptional Points

We investigate the temperature sensitivity of Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) near exceptional points (EPs), and report extremely hight sensitivity ( ∼ 16 dBm/ ◦ C) by theoretically tuning the grating parameters to merge the bandedges with the EPs.
