Optically mediated phononic quantum key distribution in twin optomechanical systems

We propose a coherent state-based prepare and measure protocol to implement a secure quantum channel between two spatially separated optomechanical devices. This scheme guarantees a finite key rate among the mechanical oscillator’s quadratures by vio-lating the Gaussian steering inequalities.
