Second-Order Nonlinearity in Chalcogenide Waveguides Achieved through All-Optical Poling

We demonstrate all-optical poling of Ge 23 Sb 7 S 70 chalcogenide waveguides for the production of second-order (χ (2) ) nonlinearity in amorphous media. Poling strength and quasi-phase matched bandwidth are probed with a fs pulsed source.

Abstract

We demonstrate all-optical poling of Ge 23 Sb 7 S 70 chalcogenide waveguides for the production of second-order (χ (2) ) nonlinearity in amorphous media. Poling strength and quasi-phase matched bandwidth are probed with a fs pulsed source.
