Voltage Controlled Acousto-Electric Self-Oscillating Lithium Niobate SAW Resonator for Integrated Acousto-Optics

We demonstrate self-oscillating SAW resonators using InGaAs-TFLN heterostructures for on-chip oscillators and sources of microwave-frequency phonons for acousto-optics. Continuous acoustic output powers of -33dBm are generated at 1GHz with sub-kHz linewidths from < 0 . 1mm 2 footprint resonators with 36V DC bias.

Abstract

We demonstrate self-oscillating SAW resonators using InGaAs-TFLN heterostructures for on-chip oscillators and sources of microwave-frequency phonons for acousto-optics. Continuous acoustic output powers of -33dBm are generated at 1GHz with sub-kHz linewidths from < 0 . 1mm 2 footprint resonators with 36V DC bias.
