Ultrafast Plasmon Dynamics Under High-Intensity Laser Excitation

We study plasmon excitation and dynamics under high-intensity femtosecond pulsed laser illumination (10 12 – 10 16 W/cm 2 ) using particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations. We show how plasmons can be used to control light-matter interaction at the nanoscale.

Abstract

We study plasmon excitation and dynamics under high-intensity femtosecond pulsed laser illumination (10 12 – 10 16 W/cm 2 ) using particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations. We show how plasmons can be used to control light-matter interaction at the nanoscale.
