Measurements of THz produced by a two-color flying focus

Terahertz radiation was produced via photoionization by a two-color ultrafast flying focus. Terahertz beam profile measurements reveal a flat-top rather than the typical ring-shaped profile, indicative of mitigating the Cherenkov effect by velocity matching.

Abstract

Terahertz radiation was produced via photoionization by a two-color ultrafast flying focus. Terahertz beam profile measurements reveal a flat-top rather than the typical ring-shaped profile, indicative of mitigating the Cherenkov effect by velocity matching.
