Force to Strain Transducer in Optical Fiber Attachment

We propose a design of force to strain transducer (FST) for systematic conversion of mechanical displacement along co-axial direction for multi-point or distributed optical fiber sensing, such as fiber bragg grating (FBG) and Brillouin-based method. Our prototype FST shows linear force conversion up to 3kg with FBG interrogater.
