Enhanced Light-matter Interactions in Metal Nanoparticle-rGO Hybrids

Extinction of rGO was enhanced by 4-fold (2-fold) in presence of gold (silver) nanoparticles, corroborated with experiments. Fundamental differences between enhancement with gold and silver are explained based on effective medium approximation and quality factors.
