Fabrication of a microprism array by femtosecond-laser figuring and finishing

We demonstrate deterministic material removal with sub-nanometer precision, having fabricated a microprism and extending it to arrays. This femtosecond laser figuring and finishing technology enables freeform optics fabrication with micron-level lateral and sub-nanometer vertical resolution.

Abstract

We demonstrate deterministic material removal with sub-nanometer precision, having fabricated a microprism and extending it to arrays. This femtosecond laser figuring and finishing technology enables freeform optics fabrication with micron-level lateral and sub-nanometer vertical resolution.
