Photonic Integrated Free-Space Light Receiver Based on a Focusing Metalens and an Inverse-Designed Spatial Coupler

We demonstrate an integrated free-space light receiver with a focusing metalens and an inverse-designed four-channel spatial coupler, significantly enhancing the reception performance for HG 00 , HG 01 , HG 10 , HG 02 modes compared to the non-metalens coupling.
