Gain switched seed based high pulse energy narrow linewidth linearly polarized nanosecond pulsed fiber laser

Yb-doped narrow line-width (<0.1nm) laser with tunable pulse-width (5-10ns) and PRF (1–500kHz) is realized. High (9.4MW) peak-power and energy (47mJ) is achieved through optimized gain switched MOPA design while maintaining high SBS threshold.

Abstract

Yb-doped narrow line-width (<0.1nm) laser with tunable pulse-width (5-10ns) and PRF (1–500kHz) is realized. High (9.4MW) peak-power and energy (47mJ) is achieved through optimized gain switched MOPA design while maintaining high SBS threshold.
