Spin-injected single photon sources for quantum information applications
Time dynamics and photon statistics of a spin injected electrically contacted quantum dot is investigated. Electrical excitation offers multiple tunable parameters that enable precise control over the photon statistics from an electrically contacted quantum dot. We found that the shape of the electrical excitation pulse has a direct impact on photon statistics. Under pulsed electrical excitation, the rising edge exhibits a higher number of higher-order photon states compared to the falling edge.
