Implementation of ultrasound amplitude control method based on adaptive evolution fuzzy inference

Nonlinearities and time-varying characteristics in continuous welding processes pose significant challenges for precise amplitude control. This study aims to develop an effective strategy to ensure stable and consistent amplitude regulation under prolonged operating conditions. Conventional control methods often struggle with these uncertainties and nonlinear dynamics. To address this problem, we propose an adaptive evolutionary fuzzy inference-based amplitude control strategy. This approach constructs a fuzzy logic system to handle inherent uncertainties and nonlinearities, while its core innovation lies in the adaptive evolution of control rules based on real-time feedback of phase and current signals. This adaptive mechanism continuously optimizes the controller's performance, enabling it to compensate effectively for process variations over time, thereby overcoming the limitations of static controllers. The implemented strategy demonstrated highly precise amplitude control (e.g., achieving amplitude deviations within 2% of setpoint under varying conditions). This is useful for maintaining high welding performance in demanding long-duration industrial applications.
