Retraction of: Targeting mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 2 attenuates immunopathology in systemic lupus erythematosus

The authors are retracting this paper after identifying miscalculations in the data underlying Figures 3C,3D, 4I, 4J and 5C, because an incorrect formula was used to convert the raw data to cytokine/chemokine/immunoglobulin concentrations. The data could not be reliably verified from the experimental records.Specifically: In Figure 3C, the authors no longer conclude that deficiency of Ifnar1 can significantly reduce total IgA concentrations in Lpr mice.Deficiency of Ifnar1 significantly reduces total IgG2c concentration in Lpr mice, but the significance reduces from to . In Figure 3D, the authors no longer conclude that deficiency of Ifnar1 can significantly reduce TNFa, MCP-1, IFN-b and IL-17A concentration in Lpr mice. In Figure 4I, there was no difference between Ctrl-ASO and Rictor-ASO, which is the same conclusion as the original miscalculated data. In Figure 4J, the authors no longer conclude that Rictor-ASO treatment can significantly reduce IL-23, IL-1b and IL-17A. In Figure 5C, the authors no longer conclude that RICTOR-ASO can significantly reduce immunoglobulin production from SLE patient derived T-B cell coculture.Collectively, these errors undermine the reliability of the results and cast doubt on the conclusions of the research.
