Self-similar scales of atmospheric turbulence
Complex light can evolve radically as a function of propagation simply as a consequence of linear diffraction. Here, we characterize the transverse dynamics of complex light in terms of its entropy and diffraction Hamiltonian. We identify self-similar measures of the beam propagation, namely the beam divergence, which relates to the complex beam characteristics as a result of the turbulence statistics.
