Asymmetric-filtering-induced periodic transition of pulse pulsation in over-driven fiber lasers

We report on real-time observations of pulse pulsation characterized by the periodic transition between two kinds of solitons which could be satisfactorily interpreted by the asymmetric filtering in an oven-driven Yb-doped fiber laser.
