Deep Sensing for Retrieving Optical Thickness

We present a novel method for deep sensing using pseudo-random encoded signals by a silicon photonic spectral sampler. We demonstrate such a compact sensor for retrieving optical thickness, holding great potential for miniaturized thickness gauge.
