Observation of Airy Resonances in Photonic Crystal Slabs Using Superpotentials

We use a “superpotential” formalism to describe the modes of photonic crystals that are spatially modulated on length scales much larger than the unit cell. We apply the formalism to observe Airy resonances in photonic crystal slabs.
