Winding number measurement of synthetic dimer lattices through cascaded heterodyning

We introduce and experimentally demonstrate cascaded heterodyning as a technique for low-noise, single-shot winding number measurements of two lattices supporting symmetry-protected topology: the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) and extended SSH models, realized on a driven-dissipative photonic molecule.

Abstract

We introduce and experimentally demonstrate cascaded heterodyning as a technique for low-noise, single-shot winding number measurements of two lattices supporting symmetry-protected topology: the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger (SSH) and extended SSH models, realized on a driven-dissipative photonic molecule.
