Role of time-frequency correlations in two-photon resonance energy transfer

We demonstrate that efficient two-photon excitation of an acceptor comprising two non-interacting two-level particles can only be attained by combining a strong frequency anti-correlation with a specific spectral shape of the absorbed photons.
