Enhanced Four-Wave Mixing via Quasi-Bound States in the Continuum in Silicon and Silicon-Rich Nitride Metasurfaces

We experimentally demonstrate metasurfaces that resonantly enhance four-wave mixing by a factor of more than 2000. The metasurfaces leverage a novel symmetry-based design strategy to realize suitable sets of quasi-bound states in the continuum.

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate metasurfaces that resonantly enhance four-wave mixing by a factor of more than 2000. The metasurfaces leverage a novel symmetry-based design strategy to realize suitable sets of quasi-bound states in the continuum.
