Strongly nonlinear nanocavity exciton-polaritons in monolayer semiconductors

We demonstrate extremely nonlinear exciton-polaritons by coupling a MoSe2 monolayer to a photonic crystal nanocavity. The strong mode confinement of the nanocavity enables picosecond all-optical switching of the cavity spectrum at ultralow optical excitation energies.

Abstract

We demonstrate extremely nonlinear exciton-polaritons by coupling a MoSe2 monolayer to a photonic crystal nanocavity. The strong mode confinement of the nanocavity enables picosecond all-optical switching of the cavity spectrum at ultralow optical excitation energies.
