Polarization angular selective Bragg mirrors

We propose polarization angular selective Bragg mirrors that exhibit highly distinct broadband angular spectral properties for two orthogonal polarizations, in a single compact device. The design utilizes an array of triangular pillars composed of alternating dielectric layers, exhibiting a symmetry bandgap critical for distinguishing the spectral behavior of the two polarizations.

Abstract

We propose polarization angular selective Bragg mirrors that exhibit highly distinct broadband angular spectral properties for two orthogonal polarizations, in a single compact device. The design utilizes an array of triangular pillars composed of alternating dielectric layers, exhibiting a symmetry bandgap critical for distinguishing the spectral behavior of the two polarizations.
