Two-photon memory in a GaN bilayer

We investigate the dynamics of excitonic luminescence from GaN bilayers, comparing one- versus two-photon excitation. The system unexpectedly retains a memory of whether the excitation occurs via single- or two-photon absorption for tens of picoseconds.

Abstract

We investigate the dynamics of excitonic luminescence from GaN bilayers, comparing one- versus two-photon excitation. The system unexpectedly retains a memory of whether the excitation occurs via single- or two-photon absorption for tens of picoseconds.
