Sub-2-cycle Fourier limited pulses from all dielectric double-stage multi-pass cell

We demonstrate spectral broadening of 1 mJ, 950 fs pulses to a 5.6-fs transform limit using a two-stage multi-pass cell. The output consists of 0.6 mJ pulses, with over 500 nm bandwidth, at 100 kHz, delivered in bursts at 10 Hz, centered at 1030 nm, with excellent spatial beam quality and stability maintained for over an hour.

Abstract

We demonstrate spectral broadening of 1 mJ, 950 fs pulses to a 5.6-fs transform limit using a two-stage multi-pass cell. The output consists of 0.6 mJ pulses, with over 500 nm bandwidth, at 100 kHz, delivered in bursts at 10 Hz, centered at 1030 nm, with excellent spatial beam quality and stability maintained for over an hour.
