All-Optical Logic Gates Using Kerr-Effect-Induced Phase Symmetry Breaking in Microresonators

We present an optical switch and discuss designs of photonic logic gates utilizing phase changes of optical fields arising from Kerr interactions. Our results are of interest for integrated all-optical computing and telecom applications.
