Ultrastable Photonic Microwave Oscillator as Flywheel for MW or Optical Atomic Clocks

We deployed an ultrastable photonic-microwave oscillator in two NMI-laboratories to realize the LO for the NIST/F-4/Cs-fountain clock and to characterize the system signal stability in the RF/optical domains via a three-corner-hat measurement setup at INRiM/Torino.

Abstract

We deployed an ultrastable photonic-microwave oscillator in two NMI-laboratories to realize the LO for the NIST/F-4/Cs-fountain clock and to characterize the system signal stability in the RF/optical domains via a three-corner-hat measurement setup at INRiM/Torino.
