Breaking the Gain-Bandwidth Barrier in Femtosecond Multipass Optical Parametric Amplification at >50% Photon Conversion Rate

We demonstrate record gain and broadband amplification using a novel multipass optical parametric amplifier, breaking the gain-bandwidth barrier, by readjusting the pump-signal overlap with dispersion compensated mirrors and dropping the idler each pass.
