Teaching Reform Practice of Professional English in Intelligent Manufacturing under the "AI + POA" Mode

With the ongoing improvement of the intelligent manufacturing industry, the world of real intelligent manufacturing has begun, and there is more and more demand for versatile professionals with English proficiency. The thesis solves such existing problems of modern professional English teaching in intelligent manufacturing as unchanged teaching techniques, poor student participation and weak results. This paper suggests aligning artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the Production-oriented Approach (POA)[1][2] to create an "AI + POA" model of teaching and testing it in practice as a reform process of professional English in intelligent manufacturing. The paper illustrates that the "AI + POA" mode can boost the capabilities of professional English application, autonomous learning, and cross-cultural communication in the students' learning process, through the theoretical basis and the organizational framework, explanation of the teaching learning process, and tests the outcomes in actual teaching cases. This shows that the mode can be a new approach for the teaching reforms of professional English, within the fields of intelligent manufacturing industries.
