Optimization of Numerical Simulation Technology for Development Performance Prediction in High Water Cut Reservoirs
In the development of high water cut reservoirs, accurate prediction of development performance is of great significance. Due to the strong reservoir heterogeneity and complex oil-water relationship in high water cut reservoirs, traditional prediction methods are insufficient in accuracy. Based on this, a geological model and a fluid model are established. The multiple-point statistics method is introduced to improve the model accuracy. The genetic algorithm is applied for history matching, and the parallel computing technology is used to enhance the efficiency of numerical simulation. Through the simulation and analysis of Block S in a high water cut reservoir, the results show that the model constructed by the optimized numerical simulation technology is highly consistent with the actual data. It can effectively control the production decline and the increase of water cut, with a small prediction error, and can improve the recovery factor by 3% to 5%, providing strong support for the efficient development of high water cut reservoirs.
