A gas leak detection system applied to the hood area of a heavy duty gas turbine

In view of the traditional gas leakage detection method of gas turbine generator housing area relying on manual inspection, there are defects such as low detection efficiency and response lag, this study designed a distributed intelligent detection system. The system adopts the global sensing network architecture and constructs a dual-mode cooperative detection mechanism. The methane detection module uses a passive sensor terminal to break through the power supply limitation under complex working conditions and realize multi-node data synchronous acquisition. Based on the infrared thermal radiation characteristics, the compressed air monitoring module realizes the global scanning of the temperature field through the thermal imager array, and combines the adaptive algorithm to generate the temperature gradient map. Compared with the traditional manual detection method, this scheme can greatly improve the accuracy and precision of leakage detection, ensure the safe operation of gas turbine, and reduce the cost of manual inspection.
