Implicit Model-based Integrated Technology for the Design and Manufacture of Porous Structures
Aiming at the problem of difficult modelling and troublesome manufacturing of complex porous structures, this paper proposes an integrated method of additive manufacturing based on the implicit model of porous structures. Based on the implicit model technology, an implicit model of a cubic truss-type porous structure based on skeleton lines is constructed, and the implicit model of the porous structure is parameterised using the level-set method in order to facilitate the control of the thickness of the porous structure rods. It also describes how to generate complex porous structure models and fill macroscopic porous structures with Boolean operations. After modelling, the implicit model is directly sliced into layers without model transformation and contour contour paths are generated for each sliced layer, and the generated paths can be adjusted to be isospaced for additive manufacturing. The obtained trajectories are used to generate Gcode files for FDM3D printing. Finally, the porous structure model is obtained through 3D printing experiments to verify the feasibility of the method.
