Statistical Reliability Assessment of Standby Systems for Critical Components of Centrifugal Compressors
In this paper, for the reliability evaluation of the standby system of the key components of the centrifugal compressor, a reliability evaluation model is constructed considering the degradation of spare parts in the process of stocking. The model is based on statistical distributions such as Weibull distribution and analyses the effects of the number of spare parts and the degradation of spare parts on the reliability of the standby system. Through the Monte Carlo simulation method, the life distribution of the spare system is statistically analyzed, and the reasonableness and validity of the model are verified. The results show that the degradation of spare parts in inventory has a significant effect on the reliability of the standby system, and with the increase in the number of spare parts, the life and reliability of the standby system are positively correlated, but the growth trend gradually slows down. The results of the study also provide some support for the subsequent optimal management of spare parts for key components of centrifugal compressors.
