Simulation study of ductless induced ventilation system in roll-on/roll-off facilities
To study the ventilation effects of a ductless induced ventilation system in roll-on/roll-off facilities, this paper establishes a model of the ductless induced ventilation system based on numerical simulation methods. Carbon monoxide (CO) is chosen as the pollutant gas, and the influence of the induced ventilation device on the airflow velocity field and pollutant concentration distribution within the roll-on/roll-off facility is compared and analyzed under two different concentrated airflow rates. Simulation results indicate that the system ventilation rate is a primary factor affecting the uniformity of the airflow field and pollutant concentration within the roll-on/roll-off facility. Under lower ventilation rates, the induced ventilation device can effectively improve the uniformity of pollutant concentration distribution in the upper space of the roll-on/roll-off facility, enhancing ventilation efficiency. With an increase in the system ventilation rate, the influence of the induced ventilation device on pollutant concentration and airflow uniformity gradually diminishes.
