DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGY FOR OBTAINING ANTI - TANNING CREAM FROM KAZAKHSTAN RAW MATERIALS

The scientific article examines the research on the medicinal plant calendula as the primary raw material for producing a sunscreen cream. The study analyzes the careful selection of plant components included in the sunscreen cream. Developing technology for obtaining sunscreen cream from calendula extract is a promising direction in the field of natural cosmetics and dermatology. Medicinal calendula is known for its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and wound-healing properties, containing biologically active substances such as flavonoids and carotenoids that can effectively protect the skin from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Research Objective: The objective of the study is to develop a technology for producing sunscreen cream from plant raw materials that combines high safety standards with the effectiveness of quality components. Research Materials: Calendula extract, peach oil, coconut oil, grape seed oil, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), zinc oxide, beeswax, Euxyl K712, vitamin E, purified water. The research methods were conducted according to GOST 31460-2012. Methods included: appearance, color, smell, homogeneity, pH value, colloidal stability, thermal stability, mass fraction of water and volatile substances, spectrophotometry method, and microbiological purity. The initial step involves selecting and preparing the raw materials. This includes using dried calendula flowers, thorough cleaning, grinding, or purchasing calendula extract. The next stage is formulating the cream. This involves incorporating the obtained calendula extract into a cream base composed of natural oils, waxes, and emulsifiers to ensure product stability and homogeneity. Further testing was conducted at the scientific research institute of fundamental and applied medicine named after B. Atchabarov: evaluating the effectiveness of the cream's UV protection, its stability, and hypoallergenic properties to ensure safety. The results established that the sunscreen cream made from calendula extract not only protects the skin from harmful UV rays but also aids in skin recovery due to the unique properties of its components. The product meets consumer demand for natural and eco-friendly skincare products.
