Effect of Zusanli acupoint massage combined with auricular acupoint pressure on alleviating gastrointestinal reactions after chemotherapy for cervical cancer

Objective To explore the effect of Zusanli acupoint massage combined with auricular acupoint pressure on alleviating gastrointestinal reactions in patients with cervical cancer after chemotherapy. Methods A total of 68 patients with cervical cancer who received chemotherapy in the hospital were selected from January 2023 to June 2024, and were randomly divided into control group and study group by the random number table method, 34 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture chemotherapy nursing interventions, while the study group was given Zusanli acupoint massage combined with auricular point pressing on the basis of the conventional nursing interventions. The incidence rates of gastrointestinal reactions during intervention, severity of gastrointestinal reactions by Chinese version of Index of Nausea and Vomiting and Retching (INVR)］ at the end of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of chemotherapy, emotional state by Chinese version of Profile of Mood States (POMS)］ before and after intervention, quality of life by Quality of Life Instrument for Cervical Cancer (QLICP-CE)］ and clinical effects of intervention were compared between groups. Results The total incidence rate of gastrointestinal reactions in study group was lower than that in conventional group (55. 88% vs. 79. 41%, P＜0. 05). After 2 and 3 cycles of intervention, the INVR score in the two groups was increased (P＜0. 05), but the INVR score in study group was lower than that in control group (P＜0. 01). After intervention, the score of negative emotion of POMS was decreased in both groups (P＜0. 05), and score of positive emotion of POMS in both groups was increased(P＜0. 05), and better outcomes were observed in the study group compared with those in the control group(P＜0. 01). The scores of psychological function, physical function, social function, common symptom and adverse reaction, and specific module of QLICP-CE were higher in TCM nursing group than those in conventional group (P＜0. 05). The total effective rate of intervention in study group was higher than that in control group (88. 24% vs. 64. 71%, P＜0. 05). Conclusion Zusanli acupoint massage combined with auricular acupoint pressing can help alleviate the gastrointestinal reactions after chemotherapy for cervical cancer, improve the patients’ emotional state and quality of life. (目的 探讨足三里穴位按摩联合耳穴压豆干预宫颈癌患者化疗后胃肠道反应的效果。方法 选取2023年1月—2024年6月医院收治的68例宫颈癌接受化疗的患者为研究对象, 按照随机数字表法分为对照组和研究组, 各34例。对照组实施常规化疗护理干预, 研究组在对照组基础上增加足三里穴位按摩联合耳穴压豆。统计两组干预期间胃肠道反应发生率; 采用中文版恶心呕吐干呕症状评估量表(INVR)评估患者化疗第1、2、3个周期结束时胃肠道反应严重程度, 采用中文版简式心境状态量表(POMS)评估患者情绪状态, 采用宫颈癌患者生命质量测定量表量表(QLICP-CE)评估患者生活质量, 对比两组干预效果。结果 研究组胃肠道反应总发生率55. 88%(19/34), 低于对照组的79. 41%(26/34), 差异有统计学意义(P＜0. 05)。干预2周期和3周期后, 两组INVR评分均升高(P＜0. 05), 但研究组评分低于常规组(P＜0. 01)。干预后, 两组POMS中消极情绪评分均降低(P＜0. 05), 积极情绪评分均升高(P＜0. 05), 且中医护理组评分改善优于对照组(P＜0. 01)。研究组QLICP-CE量表中心理功能、躯体功能、社会功能、共性症状和不良反应、特异模块评分均高于对照组(P＜0. 05)。研究组总有效率高于对照组(88. 24% vs. 64. 71%, P＜0. 05)。结论 足三里穴位按摩联合耳穴压豆可有效缓解宫颈癌化疗后胃肠道反应, 改善患者情绪状态, 促进生活质量提升。)
