Optical Spectroscopy Methods for Determining Semiconductor Bandgaps
On February 10, 2025, a team of experts led by Zhang Yong from the School of Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering published an article in the 发光学报, introducing its research progress in the field of semiconductor bandgap determination. The team explored the differences between excitonic absorption, modulation spectroscopy, and Tauc-plot, and pointed out that modulation spectroscopy can often yield a more useful and reasonable bandgap than Tauc-plot when excitonic absorption is not observable.
