Restoration of connecting rods by electro spark treatment and cold gas dynamic powder spraying
The results of micrometric studies of the repair fund of the connecting rods of the YMZ-238, YMZ-236, and Raba-MAN engines are presented. A new technology for restoring connecting rods of diesel engines with a skew connector using a combination of electric spark machining and cold gas dynamic spraying of powders is described. The results of experimental studies have determined the physical and mechanical properties and fretting corrosion resistance of the coatings used in the restoration of connecting rods
